Tree management done right
Trees aren’t just wonderful additions to any landscape, they’re essential to the continuing survival of our planet. But they also require careful management to ensure that they do not impact on their surroundings in an obstructive, dangerous or damaging way.
Whether on a one-off or contractual basis, at SLP Vegetation Solutions we can help you keep your trees in good health and ensure that they pose no threat to property or people.
How can trees affect their surroundings?
Damaged or overgrown branches are a danger to passers-by as well as to vehicles, and must be removed before they become obstructive or fall from the tree altogether. A vigorous tree, on the other hand, encroaching on a building, affects the ingress of natural light for its occupants and – in extreme cases – can even threaten the foundations of the building.
What Are Our Core Services?
Pollarding
Pruning a tree so as to restrict the height to which it will grow, thus keeping it away from power lines and preventing it from causing other obstructions or safety issues. For pollarding in Chatham and the surrounding areas, give us a call.
sectional felling
It’s not always possible to fell a tree, due to access restrictions. With sectional felling, the tree is safely dismantled in segments. We provide sectional felling in Chatham and the surrounding areas, including Maidstone & Kent.
Clear felling
Uniformly cutting down a section of trees in any one area
Pruning
Pruning is the process of shortening a tree’s branches to give it a smaller or more uniform shape. It can be purely aesthetic, or safety related, but it can also be a means of allowing more light to pass through the tree’s branches.
Dead Wooding
When a tree’s branches die or become diseased, they pose a safety risk. Dead wooding is the process of removing these branches before they decay and fall off by themselves.
Crown Reduction
Through crown reduction, we reduce the overall size of the tree by pruning back the uppermost branches to a safer or more acceptable level. If you’re looking for crown reduction in Chatham, Maidstone & the surrounding areas, get in touch with us today.
Crown Lifting
Through this method, we will remove the lower branches of the tree, thus increasing the distance between the lowest branches and the ground. For crown lifting in Chatham and the surrounding locations, let SLP Solutions help.
Stump Grinding
When trees have been removed, their stumps are generally left behind. These can prove a trip hazard in addition to looking unsightly. We will efficiently grind the stump up, using specialised equipment.
Hedge Cutting
